Goodman, Schwerner and Chaney
- New York 06/10/2014 by Linda Perry (WBAI)

On the Upper West Side this week, Andrew Goodman, Michael Schwerner and James Chaney were remembered.

It’s been 50 years since the three civil rights workers were murdered by the Ku Klux Klan in Mississippi. They were killed because they believed in an America where everyone can vote.

Andrew Goodman grew up on the Upper West Side and it was this community, the Upper West Side community, which honored the young men and spoke about future efforts at organizing at the West Park Presbyterian Church.

Give a listen.
