Hazardous Travel Advisory For Wednesday

Snow is will change into a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain during the day on Wednesday. The OEM, the New York City Office of Emergency Management issued a Hazardous Travel Advisory. “Be ready for a difficult morning commute,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio. “If you do not need to use your car, don’t use your car. If you can use mass transit, please use mass transit.” PlowNYC will be activated at 8 p.m. so that New Yorkers can track the progress of salt spreaders in their neighborhood. Snow accumulation of 3-6 inches · 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice are expected in Manhattan and the Bronx.

Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island: · Snow accumulation of 2-4 inches · 1/3 inch of ice is expected for Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island according to the Mayor's office.
