Former Secretary of State Colin Powell who made the false case for WMD's at the UN as a pretext for war in Iraq is now donating $5 million to City College. He already gave the school $2 million.  Powell graduated from City College in 1958.  His gift will support the Colin L. Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership.   It was renamed after Powell in April.   At a recent protest at CUNY's Macaulay Honors College, students said naming of any part of CUNY after Powell is further evidence of the militarization of CUNY. One student said she's studying anthropology. Why should her department be named after a war monger.
