NYC Public Advocate Bill de Blasio now leads in the Democratic primary race for NYC Mayor. According to a Quinnipiac University poll of likely voters, de Blasio has 30 percent, Christine Quinn 24 percent, with 22 percent for Bill Thompson, 10 percent for Weiner and 6 percent for John Liu. 7 percent are undecided. de Blasio is a harsh critic of Mayor Bloomberg and a strong supporter of NYPD reform. He is getting a bump from voters critical of stop and frisk. 60 percent say stop and frisk is excessive and harasses innocent people. Of these 34 percent back de Blasio, 24 Thompson and 22 percent back Quinn. --Regarding Anthony Weiner, 55 percent of Democratic voters wish he'd go away.
