At City Hall Park yesterday afternoon, hundreds of immigrant New Yorkers rallied to protest Mayor Bloomberg's plan to cut $7.1 million dollars for adult literacy programs. Many of them are direct beneficiaries of the programs.The latest threats to funding come on top of three years of funding cuts to programs; the programs serve 7,000 New Yorkers. City Council members also joined the rally.WBAI's Rebecca Myles has more.
