UNCROPPED: D.W. YOUNG DOC ON MASTER PHOTOG JAMES HAMILTON

On tonight’s show we’ll be joines by filmmaker D.W. Young  (Booksellers) and master photographer James Hamilton, the subject of Young’s new film Uncropped: A Portrait of Legendary New York Photographer James Hamilton and the Heyday of Alternative Print Journalism.”  One of the great chroniclers of American cultural history, Hamilton, among many photo assignments here and all over the world, was staff photographer for such publications as Crawdaddy, Harper’s Bazaar, New York Observer, and, most notably, The Village Voice, snapping the story of his encounters and our lives.
