A LOOK AT 2015 - THE COUNTED + READING OF THE NAMES

Gloria Brown-Marshal spoke with The Guardian reporter Jamiles Lartey. He compiled information that led to an interactive database of people killed by police in the U.S. in 2015, called The Counted.

Lartey and his team tracked 1,134 deaths and found that young black men were nine times more likely than other Americans to be killed by police officers. He says statistics reveal powerful information for those organizing and doing activism around racial justice.

Gloria Brown-Marshal and Michael G. Haskins read aloud the names of each of those killed by law enforcement.
