Mario speaks with Stefanie Ehmsen, co-director for Rosa Luxemberg Stifung of NYC, on their hosting of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues that is being held April 19-24, 2015. 12 Indigenous women leaders from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and North America during the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) and the goal of supporting Indigenous women in their advocacy work at the United Nations, in particular regarding their efforts to shape discussions on climate change from a gender perspective.
