DIGITAL REBELLION: THE BIRTH OF THE CYBER LEFT AUTHOR

Recent popular mobilizations around a broad range of issues in the U.S. and around the world have demonstrated the importance of social media and new technologies to galvanize mass movements. The role that indymedia played in the emergence of this new phase of mass mobilization is highlighted in a new book by socio-cultural anthropologist Dr. Todd Wolfson, an assistant professor of journalism and media studies at Rutgers University, and co-founder of the Media Mobilizing Project in Philadephia. His book is called Digital Rebellion: The BIrth of the Cyber Left, and he joined WBAI's Mario Murillo and Jed Brandt on the Friday edition of The Morning Show last week where they discussed the primary focus of the book.
