Candidate Forums On-The-Air
WBAI and all the other Pacifica stations are currently in the midst of their Local Station Board elections - a critical time in which listeners get to elect other listeners and staff to represent them in advising WBAI and Pacifica management. The LSB can have a profound impact on the governance and success of WBAI.
The voters are the members of WBAI - those who have donated at least $25 over the last year (as of September 13, 2012), volunteered to assist the station a minimum number of hours or obtained a waiver.
WBAI recently held three on-the-air forums, each with a different selection of candidates. You can hear these forums below. It is your chance to become an informed voter - to familiarize yourself with the candidates, their hopes, intentions and plans if they are elected to the LSB.
