Civil Liberties Advocates Push For Passage of the Community Safety Act

Civil liberties advocates are lobbying the New York City Council to sign onto a package of bills that together make up what they are calling The Community Safety Act.  The measures are a response to the controversy surrounding the New York City Police Department’s controversial stop and frisk policy, which is the subject of a federal lawsuit.  WBAI’s Jose Santiago spoke with Candis Tolliver of the New York Civil Liberties Union.
