Battle in the Finger Lakes
- New York 05/21/2016 by Zack Murphy (WBAI News)

New Yorkers gathered outside Con Edison NYC headquarters this week during a shareholder’s meeting over a joint venture with a Houston based energy company.  The deal valued at nearly $1 Billion is for a storage project which would hold and store shale gas from Pennsylvania in salt caverns underneath Seneca Lake.

This joint venture has sparked outrage among residents of the region, Con Edison shareholders, and business coalitions in the Finger Lakes & Seneca Lake region of the state, the heart of New York’s wine country.  Zack Murphy reports.
