WBAI Con Sabor Latino hosts Mickey Melendez and Hernando Alberrici will be hosting a benefit for WBAI on October 24th at SOB'S.

The line up of 6 bands includes:

• Eddie Palmieri- Grammy award winning Latin, Salsa and jazz band leader.

• Gil "Pulpo" Colon - pianist and Latin, jazz, and Salsa bandleader.

• New Swing Sextet - a hot salsa band from the 1960s reunited
  after a 30-year hiatus- an innovative exponent of Latin jazz,
  salsa and pop music for over four decades.

• Kambalache Negro -perform Afroperuvian music combined with Latin jazz.

• Ralph Irizarry & Timbalaye - Percussionist Irizarry and his Latin jazz brass band.

• Mauricio Smith & Chico Alvarez - WBAI producer Alverez, along with Smith, specializes in Cuban dance music.

• AND SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCES BY:
  *2X Grammy award winner Oscar Hernandez
  *Performing with Eddie Palmieri: Papo Vasquez on Trombone- Pete Nater on Trumpet- Mark Lopez on Bongos
  *Special invited Guests Vocalists- Hector "Papote" Jimenez and Pepito Gomez
  *Special Jam Session Tribute by world renowned percussionists from New York for Percussionist/Vocalist Milton Cardona led by Jose Mangual Jr.
